Castle Hill hospital are appealing for donations of diluted squash in their radiotherapy department.
A large group of cancer patients struggle to drink the required amounts of water as part of their directed treatments and so the hospital uses squash. This isn’t NHS funded and the staff are buying bottles out of their own money but some wards are using over 2 bottles a day meaning more money spent by the staff and some are actually having to leave the wards to buy more when they could be taking care of people.
Students of the school are bringing in bottles over the next few weeks and delivery will be arranged to the hospital. The school would like to thank any students who take the time to volunteer and bring in squash donations.
