Year 7

The Year 7 Team is led by the Head of Year 7, Mrs Lewis. Strategic leadership is provided by Mrs Southorn – Designated Safeguarding Lead.

These colleagues are specialists in supporting our youngest students through transition, and during their first year at Howden and, as such, the Head of Year 7 remains in this role each year. 

The Year 7 ACE teachers are the staff who meet students every morning at Line up and who lead them in ACE Period. Where possible, ACE teachers move up through the school with their group.

Parents Evenings

Meet the Team: In the Autumn Term, there is an opportunity for Year 7 families to attend a ‘Meet the Team’ evening. This is a pastoral evening rather than an academic evening, providing the opportunity to hear how your child has settled in and to share any new information you wish. 

Progress Evening

The Year 7 Progress Evening takes place in the summer term. A letter will be sent to families inviting parents to book appointments through our online booking system. Dates can be found in the school calendar. 

Reports

Two progress data reports are published each year. One in the spring term and one in the summer term. Dates can be found in the school calendar.
