Our ambitious curriculum is designed to inform, inspire and empower all students to thrive intellectually, emotionally and physically.

Through a well‑sequenced, knowledge‑rich curriculum and strong, evidence‑informed pedagogy, we ensure that learning builds cumulatively over time, enabling students to achieve secure understanding, confidence and independence.

English, Mathematics and Science sit at the heart of our curriculum and provide the foundation for success across all subjects. English develops students’ reading, writing, oracy and critical thinking, equipping them to access complex texts, communicate effectively and engage confidently with ideas across the curriculum. Mathematics supports logical thinking, problem‑solving and precision, enabling students to apply mathematical knowledge across scientific, technical and real‑world contexts. Science fosters curiosity about the natural world, developing analytical thinking, practical skills and deep conceptual understanding through biology, chemistry and physics.

Alongside the core subjects, our curriculum includes a broad range of humanities, languages, creative, technical and vocational subjects, ensuring students benefit from a rich and balanced educational experience. These subjects deepen cultural understanding, encourage creativity, and develop subject‑specific knowledge and transferable skills. High‑quality teaching and carefully planned curriculum time allow students to study subjects in sufficient depth, particularly as they progress into Key Stage 4.

We actively identify and address barriers to learning so that all students, regardless of starting point or background, are supported to succeed. Consistent approaches to literacy, numeracy and retrieval practice across subjects strengthen learning and ensure coherence throughout the curriculum.

Beyond the classroom, we place high value on the creative and performing arts, physical education and enrichment opportunities, enabling students to pursue their interests, develop talents and experience enjoyment, curiosity and a sense of wonder. Our wide‑ranging extra‑curricular programme extends learning, builds character and supports wellbeing.

All students benefit from high‑quality, impartial Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG), helping them connect curriculum learning to future pathways and make well‑informed decisions about education, training and employment.
